Cooking topless may be a fun way to spice things up for some couples, but the idea does not curry favor with Leslie Bibb.
While cohosting Tuesday’s episode of Today with Jenna Bush Hager, the White Lotus star reacted to the viral Instagram video that her Iron Man costar Gwyneth Paltrow posted over the weekend which saw her facing away from the camera while cooking breakfast for her husband Brad Falchuk over the stove without anything covering her chest.
“Are her boobies out?” Bibb questioned, to which Hager confirmed, “I believe she’s topless.”
The move raised immediate red flags for Bibb. “Okay, here’s my concern,” she explained. “I’m here for everybody’s freak flag — whatever you wanna do, you wanna do it — I just worry about grease and burning.”

The Palm Royale actress noted that she often gets little “sizzlers” of food sprayed across the tops of her hands when cooking and that it’s not an experience that she’s keen to inflict on a much more tender area.
“I don’t want that on my nips! That is like a real ‘go to the ER [situation]!’” Bibb said. Waving her hands over her chest to evoke an apron, she continued, “We need the thing!”

Paltrow’s bare-breasted breakfast also reminded Bibb of another time in which she was seriously concerned that someone would get injured in the name of naked cooking.
“When I lived in Japan, there was a place called No Pants Shabu-Shabu and the waitresses didn’t wear pants,” she said. “And it’s boiling meat and it’s a lot of hot water and no pants — it feels like an ER visit waiting to happen!”
Bibb is one of many who have weighed in on Paltrow’s post since Sunday, with some praising her in the comments section and others giving her heat over her lack of safety measures.
“No time to put on a shirt over an open flame but…time to make beans from raw. I don’t relate to this,” one commenter wrote. However, another stood up for Paltrow, writing, “So many commenters are just prudes and don’t understand the joys of nudity.”
And Jennifer Garner simply responded: “Can I be your boyfriend?”
