NEED TO KNOW

  • Sam Nivola, son of actors Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola, addressed his “nepo baby” label in an interview for Variety‘s Actors on Actors with Cooper Koch
  • Despite their own long careers, Sam’s parents discouraged him from following in their footsteps
  • Sam recently starred as Lochlan Ratliff in the third season of The White Lotus

Sam Nivola is addressing his “nepo baby” label.

The actor sat down with Cooper Koch for Variety‘s Actors on Actors, where they both shared their experiences on their respective recent projects: Koch’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and Nivola’s The White Lotus.

Nivola is the son of actors Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola, both of whom have long careers on screen. The White Lotus actor shared that both his parents actually advised him against following in their footsteps.

“My whole thing was that my parents really didn’t want me to be an actor, which I totally get — I don’t know if I’d want my kid to be an actor,” Nivola, 21, admitted. “It’s a really mentally tough career to be in.”

He continued, “Even if I had no success, I would want to be doing it. But they really didn’t want me to do it.”

Nivola has appeared in a number of big projects in recent years, including The Perfect Couple and White Noise — the latter in which Sam’s sister, May Rose, also featured. Their parents were “green with envy” that they’d be spending so much time with Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig. But still, Alessandro told PEOPLE in 2021 that acting “definitely wasn’t something we were encouraging” for their children.

The film’s director, Noah Baumbach, went to Sam and May’s school, seeking children to cast in the film, Alessandro said. Baumbach was thrilled at the opportunity to cast the two Nivola children, he added.

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

“At that point, it felt cruel to tell them they couldn’t do it because it was such a high-class project,” Alessandro said.

Sam and May never enlisted their parents for acting advice, though. “They never come to me for advice for anything,” Alessandro said with a laugh. “They haven’t even asked me once to read through a scene with them.”

Alessandro and Mortimer — who most recently featured in Kraven the Hunter and Paddington in Peru, respectively — wed in 2003.

  • Phineas and Ferb is officially returning to the Disney Channel after wrapping its fourth season in 2015.
  • The revival has been greenlit for 40 episodes, split into two seasons.
  • Vincent Martella, Ashley Tisdale, Dan Povenmire, and Alyson Stoner will reprise their roles.

Summer vacation is officially back. Nearly 10 years after Phineas and Ferb wrapped up its epic four-season run on the Disney Channel, the animated series is bringing back many of the original voices for 40 new episodes.

The new season of the Emmy-winning series will stick to the classic formula, following brilliant stepbrothers Phineas (Vincent Martella) and Ferb (David Errigo Jr.) as they enjoy another 104 days of summer adventures. Meanwhile, Candace (Ashley Tisdale) remains determined to find someone — anyone — who will stop her inventive little brothers once and for all.

Also returning? Their pet platypus, Perry (Dee Bradley Baker), who continues his double life as the suave Agent P, who’s always one step ahead of Dr. Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire), the bumbling evil scientist trying to take over the Tri-State Area.

Joining Martella and Tisdale are several familiar voices, including Caroline Rhea, Alyson Stoner, Richard O’Brien, and more. Plus, season 5 will feature a surprising array of guest voices from the likes of Michael Bublé, Alan Cumming, Anna Faris, and John Stamos.

Need a refresher? Here’s your guide to the Phineas and Ferb revival’s cast and characters.

Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn

Chances are you know Vincent Martella best by his voice, especially as Phineas on Phineas and Ferb and Hope Estheim in the Final Fantasy video game series (2010–2013). But he’s also popped up in front of the camera in Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009), Role Models (2008), and AMC’s The Walking Dead (2013-2014).

Martella reprises his role as Phineas, the ever-optimistic and creative young boy who’s always dreaming up his next big summer project.

Speaking at a press conference (via Temple of Geek), Martella spoke about what it’s like to get back into character. “I’ve played Phineas for 17, 18 years now. So, Phineas has been a huge, huge part of my life,” he shared. “But the first record that I ever had coming back to do new episodes of the show was definitely an emotional experience. I was really, really moved and excited because, like I said, I mean, 17, 18 years is a really long time to do anything.”

Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn

Candace on ‘Phineas and Ferb; Ashley Tisdale attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Actress and singer Ashley Tisdale helped define a generation of Disney magic as Maddie on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005–2008) and Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical films (2006–2008).

More recently, she appeared on Merry Happy Whatever (2019), Carol’s Second Act (2019–2020), and The Masked Dancer (2020–2021), on which she served as a panelist.

Tisdale returns to voice older sister Candace on Phineas and Ferb, who spends most of her time striving to get them in trouble for their daily escapades.

“She’s such a great character to play,” Tisdale told EW back in 2020. “There’s just so much creative freedom; there’s no limit to her.”

David Errigo Jr. as Ferb Fletcher

Ferb on ‘Phineas and Ferb’; David Errigo Jr. attends Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Bash on July 27, 2024, in San Diego.

David Errigo Jr. is no stranger to voice acting, having made a name for himself by lending his voice to several big-name characters. Notable voiceover roles include Tails on Sonic for Hire (2023), the trickster Mister Mxyzptlk on My Adventures with Superman (2023), and both Gladiator and Banshee on X-Men ’97 (2024).

His standout role as Dudley the Dodo on Netflix’s Ridley Jones (2021–2023) earned him a Children’s and Family Emmy nomination for Outstanding Voice Performance.

Errigo Jr. brings his talents to Phineas and Ferb as the voice of Ferb Fletcher, the clever and resourceful stepbrother to Phineas and Candace. He first took over the role from Thomas Brodie-Sangster in a 2018 crossover episode of Milo Murphy’s Law, and later reprised it in Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (2020).

Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher

Linda on ‘Phineas and Ferb; Caroline Rhea attends ‘The Little Pageant That Could’ benefit screening on May 21, 2025, in Los Angeles.

For many, Caroline Rhea will always be Aunt Hilda, the fun, chaotic witch from Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996–2003). But her career extends beyond the cauldron, with roles in family favorites like Sydney to the Max (2019–2021) and Lopez vs Lopez (2022).

She’s no stranger to hosting, either, taking the lead on shows like The Biggest Loser (2004–2006), Cake Walk: Wedding Cake Edition (2011), and Caroline & Friends (2018).

Before stepping into the Phineas and Ferb universe, she shared the screen with Tisdale on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, playing strict German hotel inspector-turned-manager Ilsa in season 1.

Now, Rhea is back as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Phineas and Candace’s caring (and often clueless) mom who, once upon a time, was a pop sensation named Lindana.

On the red carpet at the Phineas and Ferb revival premiere, the actress shared what she loves most about playing Linda. “I enjoy that I was a famous rock star and had my one-hit-wonder,” she joked, adding, “I love that my own daughter is a teenager, so I love that I get to project that onto Candace!”

Richard O’Brien as Lawrence Fletcher

Lawrence on ‘Phineas and Ferb’; Richard O’Brien attends ‘Rocky Horror Show’ gala night on Sept. 10, 2024, in London.

Grammy-nominated superstar Richard O’Brien is a true jack-of-all-trades, having worked as an actor, writer, presenter, singer, and musician. He’s the twisted mind behind The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1973) and its follow-up, Shock Treatment (1981), starring as Riff Raff and Dr. Cosmo McKinley, respectively.

O’Brien has flexed his quirky charm in a number of oddball films, from the spacey camp of Flash Gordon (1980) to Spice World (1997), Dungeons & Dragons (2000), and Elvira’s Haunted Hills (2001).

O’Brien returns to lend his voice to Lawrence Fletcher, Ferb’s sweet but absent-minded dad.

Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus

Perry the Platypus on ‘Phineas and Ferb; Dee Bradley Baker attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Dee Bradley Baker is a vocal chameleon — if it growls, squeaks, slithers, or squawks, there’s a good chance he’s behind it. One of the most prolific voice actors in the business, Baker has made a career out of bringing animals, creatures, and the occasional chaotic alien to life. Naturally, voicing Perry the Platypus is right up his alley.

Some of his most notable credits include Space Jam (1996), SpongeBob SquarePants (1999–present), American Dad! (2005–present), Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005–2008), Adventure Time (2010–2018), and Muppet Babies (2018–2022).

Baker returns as Perry, the Flynn-Fletcher family’s pet platypus who moonlights as a secret agent for the all-animal spy group O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym).

At the Phineas and Ferb season 5 premiere, Baker reflected on the deeper meaning behind the fan-favorite character. “Perry the Platypus means to me kind of what the show means to me, which is the triumph of a good person,” he said. “A can-do, smart, helpful, empathetic… good person. There’s something optimistic about him, always triumphing over any adversity, and that’s inspiring.”

Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro

Isabella on ‘Phineas and Ferb’; Alyson Stoner attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Like Tisdale, Alyson Stoner’s work on the Disney Channel made them a part of so many childhoods. You might remember Stoner as Max on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005–2007), where they shared the screen with Tisdale. But their breakout moment was as Caitlyn, an aspiring music producer in Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010).

Outside of Disney, though, Stoner lit up the screen in Cheaper by the Dozen (2003) and its 2005 sequel, and showed off serious moves in the Step Up franchise (2006–2014).

More recently, Stoner has been using their platform to hold serious conversations about the enduring impact of growing up in the spotlight. They hosted the Dear Hollywood podcast in 2023 and made an appearance in Child Star, Demi Lovato’s 2024 documentary about growing up in the spotlight.

Stoner is also the co-founder and CEO of Movement Genius, a digital wellness platform offering “live and on-demand classes to help you improve your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.”

Stoner reprises their role as Isabella on Phineas and Ferb, the confident leader of the Fireside Girls Troop and Phineas and Ferb’s lovestruck neighbor who has a major crush on Phineas.

The actor shared that one of their favorite things about Isabella is the character’s ability to “switch to commander mode and be in charge of the Fireside Girls, but then she also can immediately be overwhelmed with adoration for Phineas in the next breath.”

Bobby Gaylor as Buford Van Stomm

Buford on ‘Phineas and Ferb; Bobby Gaylor attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Writer and voice actor Bobby Gaylor has been in the business for decades, first gaining fame with the spoken-word album Fuzzatonic Scream (1999), a raw and witty release that earned him a cult following. He took advantage of the attention and ran with it, carving out a solid career in TV and animation.

While he’s best known for Phineas and Ferb, Gaylor has lent his writing talents to fan-favorite shows like Roseanne (1996), The Bernie Mac Show (2002–2003), The Snoopy Show (2021–2022), and SpongeBob SquarePants (2023–2024).

Gaylor is back as the voice of Buford Van Stomm, the tough-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside “bully” who’s more frenemy than foe to Phineas, Ferb, and the gang.

Maulik Pancholy as Baljeet Tjinder

Maulik Pancholy is an actor and award-winning writer who won a 2023 Lambda Literary Award for Nikhil Out Loud (2022), which follows a group of eighth-grade theater kids taking a stand against homophobia in their town.

On the acting side, Pancholy has had a standout career with memorable roles like Sanjay on Weeds (2005–2012), Jonathan (Jack Donaghy’s devoted assistant) on 30 Rock (2006–2012), and Arnav on Only Murders in the Building (2021).

Up next, he’s set to star in an upcoming A24 musical comedy from Jesse Eisenberg.

Pancholy reprises his role as Baljeet Tjinder, Phineas and Ferb’s intellectual neighbor and good friend.

Dan Povenmire as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz

Dr. Doofenshmirtz on ‘Phineas and Ferb’; Dan Povenmire attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

One half of the creative duo behind Phineas and Ferb is Dan Povenmire, a true animation all-star with decades in the industry.

While he’s worked on several popular shows over the years, he’s best known for co-creating Phineas and Ferb with Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. Povenmire is also the creative force behind Hamster & Gretel, a Disney Channel superhero comedy starring his real-life daughter, Meli.

Povenmire is back as the voice of Dr. Heinz “Doof” Doofenshmirtz, a hopelessly inept evil scientist with a flair for the dramatic and a knack for building bizarre inventions in his quest to take over the Tri-State Area.

Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh as Major Francis Monogram

The other half of the team that started it all is Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. Before co-creating Phineas and Ferb and and Milo’s Murphy Law (2016–2019) with Povenmire, Marsh worked on a number of animated programs, including Rocko’s Modern Life (1993–1996) and King of the Hill (1997–2000).

Marsh is back as the voice of the ever-serious Major Francis Monogram, head of the O.W.C.A. and Perry’s boss.

Tyler Alexander Mann as Carl Karl

Carl on ‘Phineas and Ferb’; Tyler Mann attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Tyler Alexander Mann is likely best known for his role as Carl on Phineas and Ferb, but he’s also popped up in live-action roles, including one-episode appearances on Weeds (2010) and Modern Family (2011), the latter of which cast him as a character credited only as “Nerd.”

Mann returns to voice Carl, Major Monogram’s unpaid intern in the O.W.C.A. His job? Filming the mustached man when he’s being interviewed and talking to Perry.

Olivia Olson as Vanessa Doofenshmirtz

Vanessa on ‘Phineas and Ferb; Olivia Olson attends the premiere of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ on May 31, 2025, in Los Angeles.

Olivia Olson has a fun bit of history with her former Phineas and Ferb costar Brodie-Sangster — they shared the screen years earlier in Love Actually (2003). Brodie-Sangster played Sam, a boy who falls in love with his American classmate, Joanna, played by Olson. And yes, spoiler alert, she kisses him on the cheek at the end of the movie.

A proud nepo baby (her dad is writer-producer Martin Olson), Olson has made a name for herself in the world of animation and beyond. She’s largely known for Phineas and Ferb and Adventure Time (2010–2018), but she’s also made waves behind the scenes.

Olson co-wrote the Marcy and Simon graphic novel, had a hand in writing Adventure Time: The Enchiridion & Marcy’s Super-Secret Scrapbook, and contributed to the best-selling The Adventure Time Encyclopædia. She’s also part of the writing team for the Phineas and Ferb revival.

Speaking of which, Olson reprises her role as Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, Heinz and Charlene’s sarcastic and sharp teenage daughter.

  • Wednesday will finally slash its way back to Netflix this summer for the horror-comedy’s much-anticipated second season.
  • New cast members joining Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams include Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Billie Piper, and Lady Gaga.
  • The second season arrives in two installments, one on Aug. 6 and one on Sept. 3.

Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams will flex her dry wit (and arsenal of sharp instruments) in the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday, a deliriously twisted riff on the Addams Family franchise from director and executive producer Tim Burton.

Wednesday was a breakout hit in 2022, breaking free from the echo chamber of Netflix to flood TikTok and Instagram feeds the world over.

The pressure’s on to deliver a worthy follow-up, and Ortega, who signed on as a producer for season 2, is prepared. Not only has the star teased a scarier season 2, but she’s also helped recruit a supporting cast of top-notch talent, from Steve Buscemi and Joanna Lumley to pop idol Lady Gaga.

“We certainly set out to really stretch ourselves and stretch what the show could do and see where our characters could go,” said co-creator Miles Millar in a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly. “The last thing you want is people to be disappointed having waited for so long. We really want to ensure that the show is loaded with surprises and comedy and action, and that they see the characters they love, but also introduce new ones.”

Ahead of the season’s premiere — it drops in two installments on Aug. 6 and Sept. 3 — let’s reacquaint ourselves with Wednesday’s returning players and get to know the dark-eyed newbies haunting the halls of Nevermore Academy.

Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams

As a child, Jenna Ortega appeared in films like Iron Man 3 (2013) and Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) before breaking out with a recurring role as young Jane on Jane the Virgin (2014–2019). She went on to appear in a number of animated and live-action Disney productions, including Stuck in the Middle (2016–2018), Elena of Avalor (2016–2020), and Bizaardvark (2018).

Ortega graduated to more adult roles with her turn as Tara Carpenter in Scream (2022) and Scream VI (2023), as well as the Ti West slasher X (2022) and Netflix’s serial-killer soap You (2019). Ortega’s starring role as Wednesday helped catapult her to A-list status, with the actress hosting Saturday Night Live in 2023 and lining up a vast slate of upcoming film roles.

Ortega’s talent for deadpan malevolence makes her an ideal choice for Wednesday Addams, and it’s one she takes seriously, especially since becoming a producer on season 2.

“I sit in on meetings and listen and learn,” she said in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m still finding my footing in that area.”

But she also spoke frankly about how the role can make it difficult for colleagues to take her seriously. “You know, it’s like how you’re dressed in the schoolgirl costume,” she told the outlet. “There’s just something about it that’s very patronizing. Also, when you’re short, people are already physically looking down on you.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams

For her intoxicating turn as Velma Kelly in Chicago (2002), Catherine Zeta-Jones won an Oscar and a BAFTA. She also won Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle awards for leading Broadway’s 2009 revival of A Little Night Music. Other notable credits include The Mask of Zorro (1998), Traffic (2001), and Ocean’s Twelve (2004), as well as the Disney+ series National Treasure: Edge of History (2022).

She’ll next appear alongside Ortega, Natalie Portman, and Charli XCX in Cathy Yan’s The Gallerist.

“To go back and do a second season was just wonderful,” the actress told Deadline last year. “The great Jenna Ortega, who really runs the show — I can’t say enough about her as a young woman, as an actor, and actually she’s producing this second season. It was pretty impressive to watch. And we have a whole array of new actors coming in… I think everyone’s waited long enough for season 2 and they will not be disappointed.”

Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams

Luis Guzmán has been one of Hollywood’s preeminent “that guy” actors for more than three decades. He’s appeared in films by some of the U.S.’s best filmmakers, from Brian De Palma (Carlito’s Way, Snake Eyes) and Steven Soderbergh (Out of Sight, Traffic, The Limey) to Paul Thomas Anderson  (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch-Drunk Love).

Recently, he costarred in the Netflix films Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (2024) and Havoc (2025), as well as the series Poker Face (2023) and Justified: City Primeval (2023).

“I say the first season came out and it blew the lid off everything, and the second season was like me telling these guys, ‘How you going to outdo season 1?’ And they went above and beyond,” the actor recently told Movieweb. “I will tell you, the world will be amazed by what they see in season 2.”

Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams

Newcomer Isaac Ordonez’s only screen credit before appearing on Wednesday was in Ava DuVernay’s 2018 A Wrinkle in Time adaptation.

Ordonez graduates to a series regular on season 2 of Wednesday as Pugsley Addams, the younger brother of Ortega’s Wednesday. As the season 2 trailer teases, the new episodes will find him harnessing the power of static electricity in the same manner as Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester.

Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester

Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen has 15 Emmy nominations (but no wins) under his belt for his work as a co-creator and star of Portlandia (2011–2018) and Documentary Now (2015–2022), among other projects. Portlandia did, however, win a Peabody Award in 2012, as did Los Espookys (2019–2022), another series Armisen co-created.

Armisen is also a Grammy-nominated musician — he previously served as the Late Night With Seth Meyers band leader — and has appeared in beloved comedies like Anchorman (2004), Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! (2008–2010), and Big Mouth (2017–2025).

“When they offered it to me, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m the right guy for that part,'” Armisen told Jimmy Fallon last year. “I don’t usually have that much bravado, but for this I was like, ‘I’m glad I’m doing it.'”

A good thing, too. Though he only appeared in one episode of the first season, Netflix is reportedly developing a spinoff, Fester, centered around the Addams Family’s chrome-domed uncle.

Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair

Emma Myers appeared in a handful of projects as a child, then took a break from Hollywood and returned with roles in two megahits: Wednesday and A Minecraft Movie (2025), in which she costarred alongside Jack Black, Jason Momoa, and Danielle Brooks.

Myers plays Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s bubbly, blonde-haired roommate. “I was kind of scared to go back, because I remember watching scenes of myself from season 1 and being like, ‘I don’t know if I can re-create this now. It’s been so long,’” she told Variety in April. “But when we got to the table read, it immediately came back, like nothing had changed. I think I’ve lived with Enid for so long, it comes very naturally now.”

Ortega, meanwhile, told the outlet that Enid is a “bit more of a badass this time around,” with Myers adding that the character “has changed over the summer” and is “more comfortable with herself” than she was in season 1.

Joy Sunday has worked with some of the most exciting voices in independent film, having appeared in S—house (2020) and The Beta Test (2021) from auteur filmmakers Cooper Raiff and Jim Cummings, respectively. She’s also a frequent collaborator of writer and director Justin Simien, who directed her in the film Bad Hair (2020) and the series Dear White People (2021).

Sunday plays a siren named Bianca Barclay, one of Nevermore’s brightest lights and an early antagonist for Wednesday, though the pair’s relationship softened by the end of season 1.

“I think it’s so natural for her and Wednesday to have a little bit of competition. I’m really excited to see their friendship bloom alongside that,” Sunday told EW in 2024.

Of her character, she said, “I’d love to see Bianca really expand and allow herself to be more vulnerable with the people around her, I’m excited to fully realize Bianca as an individual and to continue to roll with her mistakes, to recognize her flaws, and still see her as a multi-dimensional, headstrong character. I love that I’ve gotten to portray someone like [her] and I look forward to playing with that more.”

Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin

Before breaking out on Wednesday, Hunter Doohan cut his teeth alongside a pair of Breaking Bad alums. He played a young Aaron Paul on the Apple TV+ series Truth Be Told (2019—2020) and appeared opposite Bryan Cranston on Showtime’s Your Honor (2020–2021). This year, he debuted as Bastian Cooper, a.k.a. Muse, on the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again.

Doohan’s Tyler is one of Wednesday’s more complex characters. While the potential love interest for Wednesday was revealed to be the monstrous Hyde of season 1, it turned out he was being controlled by Christina Ricci’s Thornhill.

Doohan talked about some of his “conflicting sides” in a chat with EW, admitting that he still isn’t sure about Tyler’s real feelings for Wednesday.

“Maybe there’s an attraction there and, he probably wouldn’t admit it, but a respect for her, but he’s filled with so much anger and hatred toward her and her family and all of Nevermore because of what happened to his mom,” he said. “She was a Hyde and she died because Nevermore doesn’t accept them and won’t teach them how to control their powers, so I think Tyler’s filled with a lot of rage and that’s how he justifies his murdering spree.”

He continued, “But also, we played around with, like, the first time there’s a flashback to the transformation, I think Tyler’s terrified. But I read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde preparing for this, and it talks about how every time he transitions, it takes over a little bit more and it happens more often and the lines between the two get blurred, so I think that’s also happening. We’ve also never seen Tyler, now that Thornhill is dead, he doesn’t have a master anymore.”

Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort

Steve Buscemi won a Golden Globe for his leading turn as Nucky Thompson on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014), as well as an Emmy for 2016’s Park Bench with Steve Buscemi, but that doesn’t do justice to the breadth and originality of the actor, writer, and director’s work on TV and film.

As an actor, he’s worked with many of the most innovative filmmakers in the U.S., including Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), Joel and Ethan Coen (Fargo, The Big Lebowski), Jim Jarmusch (Mystery Train, The Dead Don’t Die), and Abel Ferrara (King of New York), among many others.

You may also know him as Tony Blundetto on The Sopranos (2004–2006). and as Lenny Wosniak on 30 Rock (2007–2013).

Buscemi recently voiced Starscream in Transformers One (2024) and will next appear in new films from Taika Waititi and Martin McDonagh.

Following the, um, departure of Gwendoline Christie’s Principal Weems, Buscemi’s Barry Dort steps in as the school’s new principal.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Buscemi revealed he has scenes with all the members of The Addams Family.

“I’ve been a big fan of The Addams Family since I was a kid so it was surreal and very exciting. It was a really, really fun experience,” he told the outlet.

Joanna Lumley as Grandmama

Joanna Lumley is as much a personality as she is an actress, a former model who’s also worked as an activist, TV presenter, and author of several books. As an actress, Lumley has won two BAFTAs for her performance as Patsy Stone on the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous and a Tony for her turn in the 2010 Broadway revival of La Bête.

Lumley has worked with Burton twice previously, on James and the Giant Peach (1996) and Corpse Bride (2005).

A new addition to season 2, Lumley joins the Addams Family as Grandmama, the grandmother to Wednesday and Pugsley.

“She’s a whole different flavor of Addams that brings such delicious fun to the show and into the family,” Millar previously told EW while previewing the season. “We weren’t sure how many episodes that character should be in, but seeing how well it played, I think Grandmama will definitely be coming back if we get a season 3.”

Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Ritchie Santiago

Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo balances voice work in podcast series and video games with live-action roles in projects like Alex Garland’s Devs (2020) and the Netflix film Back in Action (2025).

Lewis-Nyawo played Ritchie Santiago, a deputy to Jamie McShane’s Sheriff Galpin in the Jericho Police Department, in season 1. Following the departure of McShane from the series, Lewis-Nyawo has been promoted to a series regular.

Billie Piper as Capri

English actress and singer Billie Piper is veteran of the screen, stage, and recording studio, having released two studio albums before limiting her focus to acting. She has numerous roles under her belt — including the series I Hate Suzie (2020–2022), which she co-created — but she’s best known for her work on Doctor Who.

For more than 30 episodes of the long-running sci-fi series, Piper played Rose Tyler, companion to Doctors played by Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. In May, the Doctor Who fandom was shocked when Ncuti Gatwa announced his departure from the series with a video that appeared to tease Piper as the Sixteenth Doctor.

Piper is also a new addition to Nevermore Academy. Her Capri Isadora is a music teacher (and werewolf) who quickly develops an academic interest in Wednesday and Enid.

Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn

Thandiwe Newton counts a BAFTA and an Emmy on her mantle for her roles in the film Crash (2005) and the HBO series Westworld (2016–2022), respectively. The English actress initially found fame appearing opposite Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in Interview With a Vampire (1994), and went on to appear in films like Mission: Impossible 2 (2000), For Colored Girls (2010), and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).

Newton will next appear opposite Jack Black and Paul Rudd in Tom Gormican’s Anaconda sequel, which Black described to EW as “a lot funnier than the original.”

Newton joins Wednesday as Dr. Fairburn, the chief psychiatrist treating Tyler at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility.

Lady Gaga as Rosaline Rotwood

The versatile and endlessly captivating Lady Gaga is pop royalty, having won 14 Grammys, two Golden Globes, and an Academy Award, the latter for “Shallow,” the song she co-wrote and performed in A Star is Born (2018). Gaga also scored Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in the film.

EW broke the news that Gaga was joining Wednesday season 2 last year, though it wasn’t until May 2025 that Netflix revealed her character, Rosaline Rotwood, a “legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”

Wednesday season 1 is streaming on Netflix. Season 2’s first installment swoops onto the streamer on Aug. 6, with the second batch of episodes touching down on Sept. 3.

Zoe made the announcement Friday in a video posted to social media that she captioned, “Here we go again @bravotv !!! I am officially joining #TheRealHousewivesofBeverlyHills and back with my Bravo family. Let’s do this!”

“It’s official,” she said in the accompanying footage. “I am coming back to Bravo. I am joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It’s been a while, and you’ve been asking me to come back to television. And I said when the stars align or it makes sense or I have enough to say to share with all of you and now is the time.”

She added that she’s “really excited to be with all of you again, and I hope you are too. So let’s have some fun.”

The official account for the network commented, “WELCOME BACK! Let’s do this.”

Zoe’s former show centered around her preparing her high-end, often celebrity clientele for events. and Kate Hudson and Jennifer Garner are among those who made appearances. Her interactions with designers including Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jcobs were featured, too.

Actress Leslie Bibb said that she had “based one character totally on some part of Rachel Zoe, like that world,” on a March episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.

The reality show she joins has been on the air since 2010 and, like its sister shows, has an evolving cast. The cast on the most recent season, which ended in April, included Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, and Garcelle Beauvais. Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly were friends of cast members who made appearances.

Beauvais said in March that she would not be returning.

Two crime series are finished at Fox.

The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit will not return for additional seasons on the network, Entertainment Weekly has learned.

The Cleaning Lady starred Élodie Yung as Thony De La Rosa, a Cambodian-Filipino surgeon working for a Las Vegas crime family as a cleaner. The series premiered in Sept. 2022 and ultimately ran for four seasons, the last of which aired its final episode on Tuesday.

The show was based on the Argentine series La Chica que Limpia, which itself only ran for one season and also inspired a Mexican remake that also lasted one season. Developed by Miranda Kwok (Spartacus: Blood and Sand, The 100), Fox’s American iteration of the series also starred Adan Canto (who tragically died from cancer after season 2), Oliver Hudson, Martha Millan, and Eva De Dominici, and later added Naveen Andrews, Kate del Castillo, and Santiago Cabrera to the cast. Special guest stars included Lou Diamond Phillips and Lea Salonga.

Kwok discussed the difficulty of making another season of The Cleaning Lady after Canto’s death in an interview with EW.

“It was a real challenge for us, but more so it was so heartbreaking to lose Adan,” she said. “We had to figure out how to craft a season based on the circumstances that honors Adan as a human being and Arman as a character in the best way possible. We had to pivot a few times this season. We started crafting the season before we knew anything about what was happening and we were planning on digging into Arman’s backstory and his family.”

Kwok continued, “When we were first told that we may not have him [for the full season], we decided we still wanted to tell those stories and we wanted to leave an opening so he could come right back into the story. Unfortunately, when we lost him, we had to adjust.”

Alert followed two members of the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit as they searched for one missing person in every episode. Scott Caan led the series alongside Dania Ramirez, whose character was killed off at the end of season 2.

Created by Jamie Foxx and John Eisendrath (The Blacklist, Outlaw), Alert premiered in Jan. 2023 and lasted for three 10-episode seasons. Season 3 premiered its finale on May 27. The series also starred Ryan Broussard, Adeola Role, Alisha-Marie Ahamed, and Graham Verchere.

  • Ginny & Georgia season 3 saw Georgia on trial for the murder of Cynthia’s husband, Tom.
  • The season 3 finale centers around Ginny’s efforts to sway the trial — and the messy aftermath of her machinations.
  • It also sets up a fourth season with the arrival of more figures from Georgia’s past.

Is Georgia convicted of murder?

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

No, Georgia is found not guilty of Tom’s murder. She has Ginny to thank, as her daughter convinced Austin and Cynthia to lie on the stand and thus secure her freedom.

Ginny convinces Austin to testify that he saw his father, Gil (Aaron Ashmore), murder Tom, telling him that the abusive Gil wants to take Austin away to Michigan if their mom is locked up. “It’s your dad or your mom,” she tells him. “You have to pick.”

Gil wasn’t there, obviously, but she cooks up a story about Gil seeking revenge against Cynthia after she blocked his application for an apartment.

Her next step? Getting Cynthia to play along. She goes to Cynthia’s house, revealing that she knows about Cynthia’s affair with Joe, and that she has footage from Blue Farm’s security cameras to prove it. “My mom might not drag you down with her, but I would,” threatens Ginny.

Afraid of being found out, Cynthia admits under oath that it’s possible Gil could have been at her house that day. Later, however, she finds out from Joe that there are no cameras at Blue Farm. Ginny lied to her.

“Wow, that whole family’s insane,” she remarks.

How does the trial impact the Millers?

Netflix

While Georgia is thankful to be free and reunited with her family, the press around the murder and the trial will nevertheless affect the family’s future. “Wherever we go, we can’t run from ourselves,” Ginny tells her mother. “This is our lives now. We’re this. Forever.”

Zion (Nathan Mitchell), Ginny’s father, knows Austin lied on the stand. Fearing the impact Georgia is having on her kids, he files for joint custody.

Georgia, too, is worried about Ginny’s behind-the-scenes machinations. “I want you to be careful about the person you’re becoming,” she tells her daughter. “I know what it’s like to cross a line you can’t come back from. I don’t want that for you and I don’t want that for Austin… I do hard things so you don’t have to. I know I’m a monster. I don’t want you to turn into monsters, too.”

And it’s true that Ginny is changing. After seeing the pieces fall into place during the trial, she smiles. “It’s intoxicating, having the power to control the game,” she narrates.

Later, she puts pressure on Georgia to stay on the straight and narrow. “I’m glad you changed, Mom. Make sure it sticks,” she says. “Don’t make me regret setting you free.”

While her and Georgia are on solid ground, she and Austin are in a darker place. As the finale draws to a close, he lashes out at her, clearly scarred by having to falsely implicate his father, no matter how complicated their relationship.

“It’s impossible to go through things unscathed,” Ginny narrates. “But the question is: Can you control how you change? Are you in control at all?”

“No one in the Miller family will be the same after this season,” showrunner Sarah Glinski told Entertainment Weekly in a season 3 postmortem. “We talk about Georgia changing, but Ginny has changed, Austin has changed, and there’s no going back.

Is Marcus going to be okay?

Antonio Gentry as Ginny and Felix Mallard as Marcus in ‘Ginny & Georgia’ season 3.

Netflix

It was a turbulent season for Marcus (Felix Mallard) after he and Ginny’s split last season. By the end of season 3, the two are back together, but he’s still struggling with his mental health.

His depression resulted in his grades slipping as he began drinking heavily. To begin the next school year as a junior, he’ll need to attend summer school. In the finale, however, he suffers a breakdown after a night of heavy drinking and his family decides he needs to attend a rehab clinic.

On the drive to rehab, however, he finds a poem Ginny wrote about him in his bag. It brings a tear to his eye, helping to assure him that she’ll be waiting for him once he’s out.

Do Georgia and Paul break up?

Brianne Howey as Georgia and Scott Porter as Paul in ‘Ginny & Georgia’ season 3.

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Yes, Georgia and Paul split this season as the blowback from the trial — and Paul’s support of Proposition 38, disastrous for small businesses — imperiled his mayoral career. Her lying to him about being pregnant didn’t help, either.

He pounds the final nail into their relationship during a heated argument in the finale. “You never loved me. You wanted to be married to the mayor. You just used me,” he spits. “You turned me into the worst possible version of myself, because you are insidious and you poison good things.”

She accepts his anger, but leaves him with a pointed reminder: “I didn’t make you anything that wasn’t in there already.”

Does Georgia end up with Joe?

Raymond Ablack as Joe and Brianne Howey as Georgia in ‘Ginny & Georgia’ season 3.

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Kind of? Joe confronts her in the finale, accusing her of killing Tom. She readily admits that, yes, she did. She also informs him that she killed her last husband, too, and that she gets it if he doesn’t want anything to do with her. Shockingly, he does, and the pair lock lips.

But it’s not so simple. She “needs to settle down a minute” after “jumping from guy to guy,” if only for the sake of her family.

“What she gets from Joe, she’s not going to crave until she’s her most authentic self and she hasn’t been there yet,” series creator Sarah Lampert told EW. “But Joe doesn’t care about image. Joe doesn’t care what people think about him, truly at all. So I think the things that Georgia really values deep in her core, which is loyalty and family, those are Joe’s core also.”

Is Georgia pregnant?

Brianne Howey as Georgia in ‘Ginny & Georgia’ season 3.

Netflix

Earlier in the season, Georgia lied to Paul about being pregnant. In the final moments of the season, though, it’s implied that, no, Georgia really is pregnant. She only drinks milk when she’s pregnant, after all, the season ends with her chugging a jug.

So, who’s the father? She recently slept with both Paul and Joe.

Speaking with EW, Lampert and Glinski revealed that an answer is forthcoming. “What’s so fun about working with such talented writers is how Glinski and I entered this season is we were like, ‘Okay, we know whose baby it is. Change our mind.’ Then we spent a whole day with the writers, and it was contentious,” said Lampert. “There was a debate over how the storylines could go based on whose baby it was and all that. But no, we’ve landed on whose baby it is. I’ll say that.

How does the season 3 finale set up Georgia & Ginny season 4?

Nikki Roumel as Young Georgia in ‘Ginny & Georgia’ season 3.

Netflix

Georgia & Ginny season 4 is officially on the way, and the season 3 finale teased what’s to come with several specters from Georgia’s past resurfacing.

First, she received a call from her father, Shane, currently imprisoned in New Mexico. “I’ve wanted to talk to you for so long, and if i can find you anyone can,” he warns, calling Georgia by her birth name, Mary. “Your mom, your stepdad. Mary, you have to be careful.”

Later, we catch a brief glimpse of her mother and stepfather driving past her house. When asked about their appearance, Lampert said the theme of season 4 is “cycles and origins,” adding that it will “[grapple] with Georgia’s past.”

Kelly Clarkson wants y’all to get your minds out of the gutter.

An interview with Benicio del Toro on the latest episode of Clarkson’s eponymous talk show went hilariously off the rails when she asked the Oscar winner if continuity was, ahem, “real hard in that area” for his bathtub scene in The Phoenician Scheme… and the studio audience reacted exactly the way you’d expect.

“You get so into trying to figure out the riddle of getting it right that you just forget [you’re in the bathtub], and then the next day you’re all crinkly like a prune,” del Toro told Clarkson of the scene in question.

“How do you not look like a prune by hour one?” Clarkson wanted to know.

“You get a good hair and makeup person to take care of it,” del Toro told her, to which Clarkson remarked that she “prunes up like 20 minutes in” the water. “Yeah, continuity… must have been real hard in that area, yes,” she added.

As del Toro and the audience immediately started to laugh, Clarkson realized the accidental innuendo. “No, no, no!” she shouted, standing up to comically chastise the audience. “I did not mean… I am way too tired,” she said with a laugh.

“I did not even mean that, I meant you’re pruny. Nasty people. No, no, that’s not on me. Usually it is,” she added, as the audience continued to laugh at her expense.

Del Toro previously opened up to Entertainment Weekly about the bathtub scene, which serves as the opening credits scene to the new Wes Anderson film. In the scene, Zsa-zsa Korda (del Toro) is shown recovering after his latest assassination attempt. Shot in slow motion from overhead, the sequence features a bandaged and bloodied Korda eating, reading, and smoking in his bath as assorted nurses and household staff flit around him as if in a ballet.

Initially del Toro, who had to sit in the tub for an estimated eight hours, had his doubts. To achieve the scene’s hypnotic slow-motion effect, Anderson asked his actors to move unnaturally fast, leading del Toro to question whether the technique would translate on screen. “So if I’m smoking, I got to smoke fast. If I eat, I got to eat fast,” the actor recalled. “So I said [to Anderson], ‘What? I mean, doesn’t that defeat the purpose? If you’re doing it in slow motion, we might as well shoot it normal.’ And he said, ‘No, no, no, it’s going to be different.’ I said, ‘Okay.'”

In the end, the choreography paid off. Del Toro explained, “When I saw it, it’s just like, it is different than just shooting at a normal speed. It is different. It has this quality that is unique — it’s kind of like a musical in a way, without dancing, let’s put it that way. But the movement and the way it is, it’s a beauty.”

He added, “That’s one of those things that you think you’ve figured it all out. And here I am doing another movie with a great director, and he’s telling me to do this, and I go home, and I’m glad I was a prune for about five days after that sequence. It’s just really a cool sequence.”

The Phoenician Scheme is in theaters now. Watch Clarkson’s unintended double entendre above.

Booted Love Island contestant Yulissa Escobar has apologized for using the N-word in resurfaced podcasts that led to her departure from the Peacock dating show.

“First, I want to apologize for using a word I had no right in using. Podcast clips from years ago have recently resurfaced, and I want to address it directly,” Escobar posted on Instagram Friday. “In those clips, I used a word I never should’ve used, a racial slur. I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasn’t trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn’t excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It’s tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use.”

She noted, “At the time, I was speaking casually in conversation, not thinking deeply or critically about what I was saying. But that doesn’t take away from how wrong it was. The truth is, I didn’t know better then, but I do now. I’ve taken the time to reflect, to learn, and to grow from that moment.”

Escobar, who was described as a 27-year-old mobile bar owner from Miami, said she’s no longer the same person who did that.

“I’ve changed a lot since then, not just in how I speak, but in how I show up, how I carry myself, and how I honor the experiences of others.” Escobar vowed. “Growth means recognizing when you were wrong, even if it’s uncomfortable, and choosing to move forward with humility and accountability.”

After warning against “fake statements circulating,” she ended her message adamantly.

“To those who are disappointed or offended, I understand and I apologize,” Escobar said. “I am sorry.”

The apology was accompanied with an image of the words “owning my mistakes speaking my truth.”

Escobar’s apology came two days after she was absent from the second episode of season 7, which debuted Wednesday. It began with a message that “Yulissa has left the villa,” and a representative for the show had confirmed her departure to EW. But no reason was given.

The cast change followed TMZ‘s Tuesday publication of footage from Escobar’s relevant podcast appearances.

Fans of the show had already commented on her cast portrait on social media that they planned to eliminate her early because of what she’d said.

  • Netflix renewed Ginny & Georgia for season 4 way back in May 2023.
  • Ginny & Georgia season 3 hit the streamer on June 5.
  • The season 3 finale teased big returns from Georgia’s past that will shake things up in season 4.

Lies, murder, and major mommy issues — just another day in the fictional town of Wellsbury, Mass. Netflix’s binge-worthy hit Ginny & Georgia just wrapped up its third season, and true to form, it left audiences reeling.

The series follows Ginny (Antonia Gentry), a smart and angsty teen, and her fiercely protective mom, Georgia (Brianne Howey), as they try to make a fresh start in a cozy town while outrunning Georgia’s criminal past.

Season 3 wasted no time, picking up right where season 2 left off — with Georgia’s arrest for murder. There are more jaw-dropping twists and emotional moments than ever, and while it delivered plenty of surprises, there’s still a whole lot left simmering beneath the surface.

That said, when will we get to watch Ginny & Georgia season 4? Here’s everything we know so far, from a release date to plot details.

Will there be a season 4 of Ginny & Georgia?

Great news, peaches: The chaos in Wellsbury is far from over. Way back in May 2023, Netflix gave Ginny & Georgia a double renewal, picking up the beloved series for seasons 3 and 4.

Sarah Glinski was also named the new showrunner, taking over from Debra J. Fisher, who led the first two seasons, per Deadline.

What happened in Ginny & Georgia season 3?

The stakes are sky-high in season 3 of Ginny & Georgia, as Georgia is on trial and faces the very real possibility of going to prison for murdering Tom (Vincent Legault). But come on, did anyone really think Georgia would end up behind bars? (Besides the series’ writers, of course.)

Just when it looks as if Georgia will leave the courtroom in cuffs, her kids pull off the unthinkable. Ginny persuades her younger brother, Austin (Diesel La Torraca), to lie under oath and testify that he saw his father, Gil (Aaron Ashmore), commit the crime. It’s a risky move that saves Georgia from spending time in jail.

However, Georgia becoming a free woman doesn’t mean everything is back to normal. In the final moments of season 3, fans discover that she’s pregnant. Given that she recently slept with both her ex, Paul (Scott Porter), and will-they-won’t-they lover Joe (Raymond Ablack), the baby-daddy mystery is bound to make things messy.

Meanwhile, season 3 also turns its attention to Marcus (Felix Mallard) and Max’s (Sara Waisglass) stories. Marcus and Ginny officially get back together in the finale, but he’s still struggling with his mental health and ends up in rehab after hitting rock bottom.

Max is left trying to hold everything (and everyone) together while juggling way more than she lets on. “We put the burden of Marcus onto Max, and we see how much she does deeply care about everyone in her life,” Lampert explained to Entertainment Weekly in a season 3 postmortem.

Glinski added, “She has such a responsibility to fix things and to make sure everyone she loves is okay, and she takes that burden on every single day, even if people don’t appreciate it.”

What will Ginny & Georgia season 4 be about?

While season 3 has already dropped and delivered its fair share of ridiculous drama, fans shouldn’t get too cozy because season 4 is coming in hot with even more secrets, scandals, and explosive revelations.

“What we can say about season 4 is that the theme is cycles and origins,” series creator Sarah Lampert told EW. “So that kind of answers your question a little in the sense that we’ll be grappling with Georgia’s past, but I won’t go into specifics.”

Glinski added, “No one in the Miller family will be the same after this season. We talk about Georgia changing, but Ginny has changed, Austin has changed, and there’s no going back.”

And yes, before you ask, we will find out who the father is.

“There was a debate over how the storylines could go based on whose baby it was and all that,” says Lampert. “But no, we’ve landed on whose baby it is. I’ll say that.”

Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) sit on the stairs in episode 2 of ‘Ginny & Georgia’ season 3.

The duo elaborated on Austin’s character in conversation with TheWrap, saying that season 4 will explore the aftermath of his decision to frame his father in the season 3 finale.

Lampert hints that the boy’s journey could even take some dark or unexpected turns. “For Austin, his gene pool is Georgia and Gil, so if we’re talking nature versus nurture, where his character grows could potentially take a very interesting space, based on a) everything he’s been through, and b) who his parents are,” she said.

Plus, we can’t forget the phone call Georgia received from her incarcerated father in the finale. He warned her that if he could track her down from prison, anyone could. Later, we see Georgia’s mom and stepfather cruise past her house. All signs point to some problematic visitors heading to Wellsbury in season 4.

When is Ginny & Georgia season 4 coming out?

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a release date for season 4 of Ginny & Georgia has not been announced yet. However, the team that brings the show to life behind the scenes is already cooking up more twists and turns.

In February 2025, several months before season 3 was released, the official Ginny & Georgia Instagram account shared a sneak peek of the writers hard at work on a group Zoom call.

“First day of the season 4 writer’s room!!!” reads the caption. “Based on today alone, season 4 is going to be a RIDE.”

Speaking to EW in June, Lampert and Glinski confirmed that the writers’ room is going strong. The former added that her favorite part so far is having a pack made up entirely of returning scribes.

“Everyone in the room has worked on the show a prior season,” she said, adding, “So the group really knows the gang.”

Where can I watch Ginny & Georgia?

The ’90s were alive and well this weekend in Los Angeles when several cast members of Full House reunited for iHeartRadio’s How Rude, Tanneritos! Wedding Special live event.

Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin, castmates and co-hosts of the rewatch podcast, hosted the Sunday event that saw stars John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Scott Weinger, and Marla Sokoloff reflect on their time on the show.

The highlight of the day’s special event was Stamos and Loughlin reliving Jesse Katsopolis and Rebecca Donaldson’s unforgettable love story, with the actors sharing behind-the-scenes stories from their iconic TV wedding.

Stamos starred as Uncle Jesse for all eight seasons of the original run of Full House, and was joined by Loughlin as his love interest, Aunt Becky, in season two. The pair eventually married in season four.

Both stars participated in the reboot, Fuller House on Netflix, though Loughlin was dismissed from season 5 after she was arrested in connection with the college admissions scandal in 2019.

In October 2023, while promoting his memoir If You Would Have Told Me, Stamos revealed that he had once considered dating Loughlin IRL. He said theirs was the “sort of true friendship that’s supposed to be the foundation of a great, lasting relationship” but, torn between Loughlin and eventual wife Rebecca Romijn, Stamos chose the latter. And we all know how that turned out.

The famous faces missing from the reunion were Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The event marked one of the handful of times that the show’s cast members have reunited since the death of costar Bob Saget.

Saget died in 2022 from head trauma after accidentally hitting his head in a Grande Lakes, Florida hotel room. He was 65. Saget was in the midst of a stand-up tour, having performed the night of his death at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville and even tweeting he was “happily addicted again” to performing comedy.

The Full House cast has continually paid tribute to their TV patriarch since his death. Last May, on what would have been Saget’s 68th birthday, the cast were among a number of the late comedian’s friends and family who posted touching tributes to the actor,

Bure, who played eldest Tanner daughter D.J. on the sitcom, posted a similar video with the caption, “Happy birthday Bob ❤❤❤🕊Love you.” Bure’s video first shows photos of herself and Saget in chronological order from roughly 2013 to 2022, then ends with a few older photos that look like they’re from the era of Full House’s original run.

Coulier, who portrayed family friend Joey Gladstone on the series, shared his own montage of personal photos of his late costar, soundtracked by the Potash Twins’ “Outro,” which features a spoken word performance by Saget. “Today would have been my brother, Bobs birthday,” he wrote. “Missing him. ❤❤

Kelly Rizzo, who was married to Saget from 2018 until his death, posted a video of Saget receiving a slice of cake with a massive sparkler candle from a previous birthday.

“Forever celebrated, forever loved, forever remembered, forever in all of our hearts,” she wrote. “Happy Birthday. Forever grateful for these memories, and this last birthday celebration together. Forever happy I got to see a smile on his face and happiness in his eyes. Look at how happy he was.”

Rizzo also shared a sweet anecdote about the night that the video was taken: “I will tell you a cute story about this night. See the little band-aid on his arm? During dinner he got a mosquito bite and kept scratching it until it bled… so he went up to the front desk and like four different restaurant workers frantically got him a Band-Aid and they all put the Band-Aid on him as if they were performing surgery-and it caused such a scene- and he came back to the table with this little Band-Aid and we both laughed because it was so silly.”
