Camryn Bynum is a dad!

The Indianapolis Colts’ safety, 26, and his wife Lalaine welcomed their first baby together, daughter Laila Glo Bynum, on Tuesday, May 6 at 1:05 p.m. Their baby girl came into the world weighing 7 lbs., 12 oz. and measuring 20 inches long.

“As first-time parents, we are feeling extremely blessed, [and] a little sleepy, but our hearts are so full having our sweet baby girl here to love on,” the newly minted mom tells PEOPLE. “Everything is still so new, but we are all adjusting together.”

The arrival of their little girl didn’t come without it’s own challenges. The couple, who tied the knot in May 2023, originally planned to have a home birth. However, after being in active labor for nine hours, they made the decision to go to a hospital.

“It was unexpected and longer than I thought it would be. Our plan was to have a natural water birth at home. But God had other plans for us,” Camryn says. “After being in active labor and pushing for 9 hours at home, pain and exhaustion put us at a standstill. The baby’s positioning got funky, which made the pain increase, and the baby was no longer moving down.”

“Laine listened to her body and knew that for the sake of her and the baby’s health, it was best to transfer to the nearest hospital,” he explains. “Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the baby’s heart rate began to fluctuate and drop to the point where something had to be done quickly. She ended up having an emergency C-section. The pain from the surgery and trauma that her body had to go through is real, and she’s embracing the healing process and reminding herself that she doesn’t need to rush to go back to reality.”

The professional football player tells PEOPLE that postpartum recovery is “essential” for the new family of three.

“She can take her time healing physically and emotionally. It was a true testament to our faith and trusting in God’s plan over our own,” he says. “We started with the plan of having a natural birth, but everything took a complete turn, and God knew what was best for our Family. Laine and the baby were completely healthy and ultimately the process in itself was one of the biggest blessings ever.”

As the Bynums settle into their new normal, Camryn notes he feels prepared for this new chapter in his life.

“Growing up around so many babies my whole life has prepared me for these moments of being a first-time parent,” he tells PEOPLE. “My Instagram algorithm has also been a huge part of preparing me for fatherhood.”

He describes the adjustment to being a family of three as “beautiful,” even though the sleep schedule for the new parents has been challenging.

“It’s been a beautiful adjustment from it being just the two of us, and now we’re a family of three. The sleep schedule is tough sometimes, but the happiness of it being my own baby makes it impossible for me to be tired,” he says, jokingly adding, “But then again, I’m not the one breastfeeding and burping Laila every 2 hours in the middle of the night.”

As for Lalaine, she agrees with Camryn, saying that the transition into motherhood has been a “major adjustment.” However, she tells PEOPLE that she is surrounded by support from her family.

“The first couple of weeks have been a major adjustment, but being able to give birth to our daughter in California and being surrounded by our family to help us with Laila has been such a huge blessing and made it a lot easier for both of us,” she says.

Sam Nivola is addressing his “nepo baby” label.

The actor sat down with Cooper Koch for Variety‘s Actors on Actors, where they both shared their experiences on their respective recent projects: Koch’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and Nivola’s The White Lotus.

Nivola is the son of actors Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola, both of whom have long careers on screen. The White Lotus actor shared that both his parents actually advised him against following in their footsteps.

“My whole thing was that my parents really didn’t want me to be an actor, which I totally get — I don’t know if I’d want my kid to be an actor,” Nivola, 21, admitted. “It’s a really mentally tough career to be in.”

He continued, “Even if I had no success, I would want to be doing it. But they really didn’t want me to do it.”

Nivola has appeared in a number of big projects in recent years, including The Perfect Couple and White Noise — the latter in which Sam’s sister, May Rose, also featured. Their parents were “green with envy” that they’d be spending so much time with Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig. But still, Alessandro told PEOPLE in 2021 that acting “definitely wasn’t something we were encouraging” for their children.

The film’s director, Noah Baumbach, went to Sam and May’s school, seeking children to cast in the film, Alessandro said. Baumbach was thrilled at the opportunity to cast the two Nivola children, he added.

“At that point, it felt cruel to tell them they couldn’t do it because it was such a high-class project,” Alessandro said.

Sam and May never enlisted their parents for acting advice, though. “They never come to me for advice for anything,” Alessandro said with a laugh. “They haven’t even asked me once to read through a scene with them.”

Alessandro and Mortimer — who most recently featured in Kraven the Hunter and Paddington in Peru, respectively — wed in 2003.

Chris Pratt is enjoying some time with his family for his anniversary.

On Sunday, June 8, the Guardians of the Galaxy star, 45, shared a photo with all four of his children as he celebrated his anniversary with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt. While he covered the little ones’ faces with a pink heart, the family of six can be seen all dressed up.

Pratt stands in the center with one arm around his son, Jack, 12, and the other around Schwarzenegger Pratt, 35. The couple’s daughters, Eloise, 3, and Lyla, 4, stand in front of their parents in matching pink dresses while the author holds baby Ford, 7 months, on her hip.

On Aug. 17, 2012, Pratt first became a father when he welcomed his first child with his then-wife Anna Faris. Following Pratt’s split with Faris, he married Schwarzenegger Pratt in 2019 and a year into saying “I do,” the couple welcomed their daughter Lyla Maria. Not long after, Pratt and Schwarzenegger announced the arrival of their second child together, Eloise Christina. In November 2024, the couple welcomed their son, Ford Fitzgerald.

Pratt says his fatherhood journey has been “really beautiful” so far. Before Eloise was born, the Parks and Recreation star even said he was ready to have “as many [kids] as the man upstairs will provide” — although he has to run that plan by Schwarzenegger Pratt first.

“We’ll do it. I’ll probably have to talk to Katherine about that, but my plan is, let’s go,” Pratt shared.

The veteran dad knows exactly what to expect when it comes to newborn babies. Back in January, he shared a hilarious photo of his wife holding up their baby boy Ford with a bright smile on her face. While it may have been all cute from the front, there was a huge mess in the back.

“S— happens,” Pratt captioned the picture, showing the blowout stain on the back of Ford’s onesie.

On Wednesday, May 21, the children’s book author and Avengers star celebrated their daughter Eloise Christina’s third birthday. Schwarzenegger Pratt posted a series of Instagram Stories, documenting how the parents prepared for Eloise’s festivities. 

Schwarzenegger Pratt first included a photo of the table she decorated with treats for Eloise the morning of her birthday, and wrote atop the photo, “My baby girl is 3!” Pratt reposted that photo to his Instagram Stories.

She also included a photo of Eloise’s baby dolls gathered around a toy birthday cake. “Birthday baby doll is a must,” she wrote atop the photo. “The little birthday cake .”

Jim Henson’s daughter helped fans say goodbye to one of his enduring creations.

Heather Henson was a special guest at the final showing of Muppet*Vision 3D. After 34 years, the beloved attraction ended its epic run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Saturday, June 7. 

Heather, 54, made it a moment by being the last person to walk through the doors of the classic attraction, which featured Muppet characters created by her father Jim and was the last project he worked on before his death in 1990 at age 53.

“Muppet fans are the best. You guys are the absolute best. We love you so much. Thank you so much for being here. We’re hanging it up. Bye, guys,” Heather said in a video (shared on the Disney-focused Instagram account Kates Takes) that captured her greeting fans before she entered.

“We love you back,” a person replied.

“The daughter of Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets and Muppet Vision 3D, was the last guest to enter the theater for the final guest showing of Muppet Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” the post’s caption read.

Fans appreciated that Heather made the gesture.

“That’s great that she came out for the final showing. Thanks for the footage!” one person wrote in the comments.

Others were still in dismay that the attraction — which combined a 3D movie, real special effects and character animatronics — was shutting down.

“Why does this make me wanna cry? Ahh I just got to ride the ride my first time last year…and my last as an adult and I’m so sad. I loved the ride,” one follower commented.

In November 2024, Disney confirmed that the long-running show, which debuted in 1991, was ending its run to make way for the new Monsters Inc. land. However, it’s not a final farewell for the Muppet characters that Jim created. Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang will now be the stars of a re-themed Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at the park, according to the official Disney Parks Blog.

“We know so many of you share our love for The Muppets and know their energy will be a perfect fit for this coaster,” the Parks blog post read. “Plus, as the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets, there’s sure to be laughter, screams and new tunes for this attraction for fans to enjoy throughout the adventure and plenty of Muppets-themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard.”
