Blink49 Studios Hires Former Shaftesbury & CBC Exec Dylen Postnikoff

EXCLUSIVE: Dylen Postnikoff, the comms and marketing exec who helped shape the international profiles of Schitt’s Creek and Anne With an E, has joined Blink49 Studios.

Effective today, she will be based at Blink49’s L.A. office, taking on a role as Vice President, Marketing and Communications. She’ll report to Nelson Kuo-Lee, Blink49’s COO.

Postnikoff was most recently Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications at Murdoch Mysteries maker Shaftesbury, and further back was Head of TV Entertainment and Content Marketing at Canada’s public broacaster, the CBC.

“Dylen brings a powerful combination of strategic insight and creative vision, backed by a proven track record of building globally recognized brands and campaigns,” said Kuo-Lee. “Her leadership in crafting breakthrough marketing strategies and elevating premium content will be a tremendous asset as we continue expanding our global footprint. We’re excited to welcome her to the Blink49 team.”

The news comes in the week after Canadian broadcaster and content group Bell Media struck a deal to acquire a stake in Blink49, which has offices in Toronto, Vancouver, L.A. and Europe. Set to close this fall, the agreement will see Bell join Fifth Season as investors in the Wild Cards, Late Bloomer and Beast Games producer.

Blink49, meanwhile, recently acquired Pier21 Films and has a stake in Front Street Pictures. Last month, it bought into digital comedy producer Stapleview. It has this year hired the likes of Amazon limited series chief Andy Bourne, former Warner Bros. and Disney sales exec Adam Steinman and Hartbeat’s Adam Puchalsky.
