- Sarah Kretschmer left 12 hidden stickers of herself and Suits’ Louis Litt in her former N.Y.C. apartment
- The prank wasn’t planned, but her viral TikTok has inspired viewers to search for more
- Ironically, Kretschmer has never seen Suits — but the stickers live on across New York City and Boston
When Sarah Kretschmer moved out of her New York City apartment, she left behind more than just memories — she stashed one-dozen stickers featuring herself and Suits’ Louis Litt, originally played by Rick Hoffman, in hidden corners, ready to surprise the next tenants.
“My friend took a picture of me when I was looking disgruntled, and another friend made a collage of me and Louis Litt, saying I looked like him,” Kretschmer tells PEOPLE. “Then it kind of spiraled into this whole joke, and my other friend had stickers made of me and Louis.”
“She started planting them all around New York City — on telephone poles, even in Boston. So me and Louis Litt are kind of everywhere,” she adds.
The viral TikTok that caught the Internet’s attention shows Kretschmer’s playful warning for the three women moving into her old unit: “If this looks like the apartment that you’re about to move into and you’re three girls, just know I have hidden about 12 stickers of me and Louis Litt around here.”
The video struck a chord, with viewers eager to follow the sticker scavenger hunt. However, Kretschmer admits the prank wasn’t meticulously planned.
“I wish I could say I was plotting this grand move-out prank, but it just kind of happened spur of the moment,” she tells PEOPLE. “I was cleaning up, trying to get my security deposit back, and I thought, ‘I know three girls are moving in. Hopefully, you have a little bit of a sense of humor. I’m going to hide these as many places as I can.’ ”
The stickers found their way into closets, between couch cushions and in other unexpected nooks — anywhere Kretschmer could ensure a surprise without risking her deposit.
“The one in my shower was definitely what kind of inspired this at all because I left it up,” Kretschmer says. “But I did hide one in between the couch cushions because they bought our couch off of us. If they decide to lift any of the couch cushions up, which I don’t know if I’d recommend, it’s like in between. So that was probably my favorite one.”

For Kretschmer, the stickers became a quirky time capsule, a way to say goodbye to the place she called home for three years. “Me and my two best friends since I was 2 lived there for three years,” she shares.
“The apartment was definitely the meeting point, specifically the couch. It was gigantic. I love that apartment. I’m hoping they leave them up. Hopefully, me and Louis Litt can live on for as long as that building stands,” she continues.
The twist is that Kretschmer has never actually watched Suits.
“What makes it so funny to my friends that have watched it, is they’re just like, ‘You’re so him. Just like, annoying and disgruntled,’ ” she says with a laugh. “So I’m just getting blindly compared to this man. And now me and him live side-by-side forever.”

So far, the three new tenants haven’t reached out, but Kretschmer is hopeful. “Someone commented in all caps that it was their friend that’s moving in there and they showed them a video of the place. That’s the only lead I have.”

Kretschmer’s sticker prank has now become a city-wide scavenger hunt, with her likeness and Louis Litt’s popping up in more unexpected places.
“If they see them, please reach out because those are plastered around New York City, like on telephone poles,” Kretschmer tells PEOPLE. “I think one is in a booth in The Playwright bar in Boston. So if anyone sees that there, check it out, and let me know.”
As for what’s next, Kretschmer hints she might finally give Suits a try.
“I just wrapped up Yellowstone, so maybe Suits is next in line,” she says.
