Snoop Dogg reveals that French bulldog Juelz has died: ‘Miss my dogg’

Snoop Dogg is mourning his dog Juelz.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” artist received the French bulldog as a gift from Wiz Khalifa in 2014 and started an Instagram account for him in 2015.

“Rip @juelzbroadus,” he wrote Thursday on Instagram. “Thank wiz for giving him to me.”

The video that accompanied his post showed Juelz riding in the car with his owner.

A post time-stamped 10 hours later featured a video montage of the pet’s adventures both on his own and with Snoop, as Khalifa’s 2015 song “See You Again” plays. It was captioned simply, “Miss my dogg.”

On the pet’s Instagram account, fans saw Juelz posing with Snoop’s children and famous friends, wearing sweaters, and even visiting the vet. The last post was made in June 2021. Juelz looked straight at the viewer, while the caption read, “What ya looking @ ?”

Snoop Dogg — aka Calvin Broadus — is the owner of several dogs. His stable of businesses even includes the company Snoop Doggie Doggs, which includes apparel, food bowls, toys, and other products.

The rapper demonstrated his love for dogs in 2019, after a video of a young bull terrier being abandoned on the road in England by his owner just before Christmas went viral. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals named him Snoop in his honor, and the artist offered to bring him home with him.

“It is heartbreaking,” he told The Daily Star, per PEOPLE. “There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop. If he really needed a home, then he has one with us. But I don’t think there is going to be any shortage of loving homes after all the exposure he has got.”

NBC, the home of the The Voice, where Snoop Dogg has been a judge, reported in September that his family of dogs included or had included a boxer, a pitbull, and a labradoodle, in addition to Juelz and another French bulldog, Frank.

The artist’s many fans sent their condolences on his posts about losing Juelz.
